We worship together outdoors AND online.  Hope you are blessed!

This week, August 30, 2020 we met again outdoors behind our Big White House under the shade of the jacaranda trees.  It was probably the nicest August weather that we have had yet.  We had nice covering to keep the sun off of us, but God really blessed us and I don't thing the temperature even got up to 80 degrees with a nice cool breeze.  Hard to believe we were in So Cal at the end of August!

Again, the chairs were set apart for social distancing and we had ice cold water available.
Come join us next week if you couldn't make it this week.  We'd love to see you in person.

COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church

we sanitize after each service...
social distance amongst congregants...
require a face mask...
and remind folks if they feel sick, then they should stay home...

Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area
looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

We continue covet your prayers at this time.

Again, this weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.

The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...

some great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs...

And for the main message by Pastor Harvey, we began to look at the Gospel of John.  Sunday's message was introduction and just scratches the surface of what we will experience as we plumb the depths of the Gospel of John in the next few weeks.  We will cover the entire book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.  Come join us and please share this page with anyone you think would be blessed.

We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.

Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.  (Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)

And don't forget to comment below about anything that we can help you with.
Or any conversation you would like to start.

Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,
Pastors Harvey & Denise

The Great Commission - Mark 16:14-20, Matthew 28:16-20

Thursday night's adult Bible study wrapped up the quarter for us with the "Great Commission".
We have made it all the way through The Teachings of Christ.  We start anew with The Marks of the Christian this week on Thursday night.

But last Thursday, several of us joined up on Zoom and discussed what the Great Commission is all about.
If you missed it, the class was recorded and is posted below.
Hope to see you in future classes.

If you are NOT part of our on-line Thursday Night Bible Study, you can take care of that now.

Two easy ways to join.  Each week we will send the ZOOM link via text and email.

1.  Just text the word "Bible" on your cell phone to 323-310-9982

After singing a couple of songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...

1 John 1:5-10 (NASB)

5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

An Introduction the the Gospel of John
Pastor Harvey

This week we begin looking into, studying and digging deeply into one of the most profound and loving books of the Bible, The Gospel of John.

OOPS - During the video I sometimes refer to the author of the Gospel of John as "The Gospel of John" obviously (or maybe not obviously), I meant to say the author the Gospel of John is "John". Sorry about that.
