We worship together outdoors AND online.  Hope you are blessed!

September 27, 2020

What a beautiful day we had today at worship!
God is good!  It wasn't too hot and we had a VERY NICE breeze blowing by us throughout the service.

We set up a "social distanced" outside church again under the jacaranda trees.

This week are doing something new.
Every week we have prayers requests that we all pray for in the church.
Well, Brother Al is still leading us in prayer for those requests and he is writing them down.
So now on this page every week, we will post the prayer requests so that you can review them for your daily prayers.

Mrs. Denise gave us a great update about Operation Christmas Child and reminded us that our packing party is October 10, 2020 at 10 am.
So just remember 10-10 at 10.
If you can make it, we'd love to see you as we pack the OCC boxes this year.

After Brother Al led us in singing with Marlene playing the electric keyboard for us, we continued on with the first chapter of the Gospel of John...we are almost finished with John 1.  We should finish up John 1 NEXT Sunday (and then of course, we will continue to John 2, 3, etc.
This is NOT going to be a quick tour of John.  We are delving deeply into this wonderful Gospel.

We look forward to you joining us next weekend, if you can make it live.
Of course we will continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship.  So even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.  Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer.

COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church

We sanitize after each service...
social distance amongst congregants...
require a face mask...
and remind folks if they feel sick, then they should stay home...

Yes!  We are still meeting outside.
Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area
looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

We continue covet your prayers at this time.

Again, this weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.

The topic was Humility.

The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...

some great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs...

We continue our in depth study and preaching from the Gospel of John today.
Today was John 1:35-51 - Jesus Calls His First Disciples.  We are now done with John 1.
Next week we begin John 2.

We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.

Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.  (Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)

And don't forget to comment below about anything that we can help you with.
Or any conversation you would like to start.

Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,
Pastors Harvey & Denise

The Fall of Man and the Promise of a Savior - Genesis 3

Hey Kiddos -
This week after Mrs. Denise prays and sings with you, we learn about how man (and woman) first disobeyed God, the sadness of it all but also how God, Himself promised to send a Savoir (Jesus)!

After singing a couple of songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...

I John 2:15-17, 25-29 (NASB)

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

25 This is the promise which He Himself [h]made to us: eternal life.

26 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.

27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, [i]you abide in Him.

28 Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not [j]shrink away from Him in shame [k]at His coming.

29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is [l]born of Him.
