We worship together outdoors AND online.  Hope you are blessed!

October 11, 2020

A beautiful day to worship Christ today!

We sang a few songs, prayed for folks (the list will be updated tomorrow in the prayer requests online).

Mrs. Denise gave us a great update about Operation Christmas Child.  She told us about the packing party that happened yesterday and informed us that we have the funds to pay for the shipping for 98 boxes, but after the service two more donations came in so we can pay to ship 100 shoeboxes (and Bless 100 children!).
Thank you all that have donated your time, efforts and money to make this possible!

For the message we heard from Pastor Harvey (me) about John 2:13-22 - the Cleansing of the Temple.
Next week we will continue in John 2-3 as Jesus receives an unexpected visitor at night.
(Well, I don't really think that Jesus was surprised by His visitor, but we'll get into that next week!)

Speaking of next week, we look forward to you joining us next weekend, if you can make it live.

Of course we will continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship.  So even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.
Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer.

COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church

We sanitize after each service...
social distance amongst congregants...
require a face mask...
and remind folks if they feel sick, then they should stay home...

Yes!  We are still meeting outside.
Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area
looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

Again, this weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.

The topic was Stewardship (as opposed to prosperity or poverty)

The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...
Noah gathers the animals in this week's lesson.

We have  great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs that we sang today...

We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.

Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.
(Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)

And don't forget to comment below about anything that we can help you with.
Or any conversation you would like to start.

Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,
Pastors Harvey & Denise

After singing a couple of songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...

I John 3:13-24(NASB)

13 Do not be amazed, [then,] brothers, if the world hates you.

14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. Whoever does not love remains in death.

15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

16 The way we came to know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

17 If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? 18 Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.

Confidence Before God

19 [Now] this is how we shall know that we belong to the truth and reassure our hearts before him

20 in whatever our hearts condemn, for God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. 21 Beloved, if [our] hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in God

22 and receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.

23 And his commandment is this: we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as he commanded us.

24 Those who keep his commandments remain in him, and he in them, and the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit that he gave us.
