We worship together outdoors AND online.
We are blessed to serve you!

February14, 2021
Happy Valentine's Day! We trust and pray that you have experienced God's love today (and every day even in the midst of this global pandemic).
God LOVES You!
YES...YOU!
You can't do anything to earn His love or increase it.
He already loves you more than you can ever fathom.
Please know this.
We at Highland Park Christian Church love you too!
We hope you can worship and pray with us in person, but...
we get it, really. Some folks are still cautious about meeting in person and prefer to worship the Lord in the safety of their homes. This is why we prepare these online worship pages for you.
If you would like prayer for yourself, family, etc., either place it the comments below or if you want to keep it private, send us a Facebook message and ONLY the 2 admins at Highland Park Christian Church will see the request and then share the request as an "unspoken" request for all to pray over.
We will continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship. Even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.
Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer.
UPDATE - Please comment down below
and we will respond. Let us know how we can help and if we have blessed you with this on-line worship. Thanks!
Ongoing (as of February 14, 2021)
COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church
Yes! We are still meeting outside.
(4900 North Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 9004 - Just behind the big white house)
Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area
looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

This weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.
The topic was "The Folly of Opposing Christ" from Matthew 21:28-42.
It was the parable the the wheat and the tares.
The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...
Mrs. Denise prays and sings with the children (online, of course) then tells the story of
Jesus teaching the disciples (and us) how to pray from Matthew, Mark & Luke.
We have great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs that we sang today...
Finally, Pastor Harvey took a short break from the the next part of the Gospel of John and (appropriately, due it being Valentines Day) preached on love, God's Love to Us, Our Love to Him and Our Manifesting the Love of God to Others.
We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.
Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.
(Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)
And don't forget you can comment below about anything that we can help you with or send us a Facebook message on the Facebook message app.
You can also use the "comments below to start any conversation with us.
Thanks for all of your support!

After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
Acts 15:1-11 (NASB)
The Council in Jerusalem
1 Some men came down from Judea and began teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”
2 And after Paul and Barnabas had a heated argument and debate with them, the brothers determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue.
3 Therefore, after being sent on their way by the church, they were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they were bringing great joy to all the brothers and sisters.
4 When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were received by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.
5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to keep the Law of Moses.”
6 The apostles and the elders came together to look into this matter.
7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.
8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;
9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.
10 Since this is the case, why are you putting God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our forefathers nor we have been able to bear?
11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.”
