We worship together outdoors AND online.
We are blessed to serve you!

April 25, 2021

We continue in the Gospel of John to John 12:1-19, when Jesus is anointed by Mary and then rides into Jerusalem.  It is good to see people returning to worship with us again.

Let us pray for you.  Just send an email to us and we will add you to our online prayer list.
We know some folks are still cautious about meeting in person and prefer to worship the Lord in the safety of their homes.   This is why we prepare these online worship pages for you.

We will continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship. Even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.

Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer or just chat/connect.

UPDATE  - Please comment down below and we will respond.  Let us know how we can help and if we have blessed you with this on-line worship.  Thanks!

This weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.
We continue in our Spring Bible Study - "Lessons from the Life of Paul"

The topic was Daily Faithfulness - Acts 18:1-17
Paul preaches and stays in Corinth for quite a long time...

The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...
Mrs. Denise prays and sings with the children (online, of course) then tells the story of Jesus being ALIVE and how He promised to never leave us.

We have great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs that we sang today...

Pastor Harvey took us back to the Gospel of John and we returned to John 12:1-19, when Jesus is anointed by Mary and then rides into Jerusalem.

We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.

Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.
(Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)

And don't forget you can comment below about anything that we can help you with or send us a Facebook message on the Facebook message app.

You can also use the "comments below to start any conversation with us.

Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,

After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...

1 Samuel 16:4-13 - NASB
David is Anointed as King

1 Samuel 16:4-13

4 So Samuel did what the Lord told him, and he came to Bethlehem. Then the elders of the city came trembling to meet him and said, “Do you come in peace?”

5 And he said, “In peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” He also consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

6 When they entered, he looked at Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is standing before Him.”

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at ]the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass before Samuel. But he said, “The Lord has not chosen this one, either.”

9 Next Jesse had Shammah pass by. And he said, “The Lord has not chosen this one, either.”

10 So Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.”

11 Then Samuel said to Jesse, “Are these all the boys?” And he said, “The youngest is still left, but behold, he is tending the sheep.” So Samuel said to Jesse, “Send word and bring him; for we will not take our places at the table until he comes here.”

12 So he sent word and brought him in. Now he was reddish, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is he.”

13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel set out and went to Ramah.

Wear a Crown

Wear A Crown - Isaac Watts (1721) - First 2 Verses and Chorus

Am I a soldier of the cross, A foll’wer of the Lamb,
And shall I fear to own His cause, Or blush to speak His name?

Chorus:
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown!
Yes, we shall wear a crown! Yes, we shall wear a crown!
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown in the new Jerusalem.
Wear a crown, wear a crown, Wear a bright and shining crown.
And when the battle’s over, we shall wear a crown in the new Jerusalem.

Must I be carried to the skies on flow’ry beds of ease,
While others fought to win the prize, And sailed thro’ bloody seas?

Chorus:
