Operation Christmas Child Update
After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
Psalm 95 (NASB)
1 Come, let’s sing for joy to the Lord,
Let’s shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let’s come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving,
Let’s shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments.
3 For the Lord is a great God
And a great King above all gods,
4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are also His.
5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let’s worship and bow down,
Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.
7 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah,
As on the day of Massah in the wilderness,
9 “When your fathers put Me to the test,
They tested Me, though they had seen My work.
10 For forty years I was disgusted with that generation,
And said they are a people who err in their heart,
And they do not know My ways.
11 Therefore I swore in My anger,
They certainly shall not enter My rest.”
Psalm 100 (NASB)
1 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Serve the Lord with jubilation;
Come before Him with rejoicing.
3 Know that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
And His courtyards with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting
And His faithfulness is to all generations.
Come Ye Thankful People, Come

Here is the text -
Joshua 3:14-17, Joshua 4:1-5, Joshua 4:19-24,
Daniel 2:1-19, Daniel 2:20-23,
Luke 17:11-16, Luke 17:15-19
Joshua 3:14-17
[14] So when the people set out from their tents to cross the Jordan with the priests carrying the ark of the covenant before the people,
[15] and when those who carried the ark came into the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest),
[16] the waters which were flowing down from above stood and rose up in one heap, a great distance away at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those which were flowing down toward the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed opposite Jericho.
[17] And the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while all Israel crossed on dry ground, until all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan.
Joshua 4:1-5
[1] Now when all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,
[2] "Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from each tribe,
[3] and command them, saying, 'Take up for yourselves twelve stones from here out of the middle of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet are standing firm, and carry them over with you and lay them down in the lodging place where you will lodge tonight.'" [
4] So Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the sons of Israel, one man from each tribe;
[5] and Joshua said to them, "Cross again to the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel.
Joshua 4:19-24
[19] Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth of the first month and camped at Gilgal on the eastern edge of Jericho.
[20] Those twelve stones which they had taken from the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal.
[21] He said to the sons of Israel, "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, 'What are these stones?'
[22] then you shall inform your children, saying, 'Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.'
[23] For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the LORD your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed;
[24] that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, so that you may fear the LORD your God forever."
Daniel 2:1-19
[1] Now in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was troubled and his sleep left him.
[2] Then the king gave orders to call in the magicians, the conjurers, the sorcerers and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.
[3] The king said to them, "I had a dream and my spirit is anxious to understand the dream."
[4] Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic: "O king, live forever! Tell the dream to your servants, and we will declare the interpretation."
[5] The king replied to the Chaldeans, "The command from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be made a rubbish heap.
[6] But if you declare the dream and its interpretation, you will receive from me gifts and a reward and great honor; therefore declare to me the dream and its interpretation."
[7] They answered a second time and said, "Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we will declare the interpretation."
[8] The king replied, "I know for certain that you are bargaining for time, inasmuch as you have seen that the command from me is firm,
[9] that if you do not make the dream known to me, there is only one decree for you. For you have agreed together to speak lying and corrupt words before me until the situation is changed; therefore tell me the dream, that I may know that you can declare to me its interpretation."
[10] The Chaldeans answered the king and said, "There is not a man on earth who could declare the matter for the king, inasmuch as no great king or ruler has ever asked anything like this of any magician, conjurer or Chaldean.
[11] Moreover, the thing which the king demands is difficult, and there is no one else who could declare it to the king except gods, whose dwelling place is not with mortal flesh."
[12] Because of this the king became indignant and very furious and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
[13] So the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they looked for Daniel and his friends to kill them.
[14] Then Daniel replied with discretion and discernment to Arioch, the captain of the king's bodyguard, who had gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon;
[15] he said to Arioch, the king's commander, "For what reason is the decree from the king so urgent?" Then Arioch informed Daniel about the matter.
[16] So Daniel went in and requested of the king that he would give him time, in order that he might declare the interpretation to the king.
[17] Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, about the matter,
[18] so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
[19] Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven;
Daniel 2:20-23
[20] Daniel said, "Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him.
[21] "It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.
[22] "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.
[23] "To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king's matter."
Luke 17:11-14
[11] While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.
[12] As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him;
[13] and they raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
[14] When He saw them, He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they were going, they were cleansed.
Luke 17:15-19
[15] Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,
[16] and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.
[17] Then Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine-where are they?
[18] Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?"
[19] And He said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."
