We worship together outdoors AND online.
We are blessed to serve you!

February 28, 2021
The last day of February and two more months of the pandemic.
Well we met outside (yet again), but once again the weather has been fantastic.
We have officially made it through the first third of John's eyewitness account of the life of Christ. We begin the 8th chapter of John today as we speak about forgiveness and light.
We know some folks are still cautious about meeting in person and prefer to worship the Lord in the safety of their homes. This is why we prepare these online worship pages for you.
If you would like prayer for yourself, family, etc., either place it the comments below or if you want to keep it private, send us a Facebook message and ONLY the 2 admins at Highland Park Christian Church will see the request and then share the request as an "unspoken" request for all to pray over.
We will continue to keep uploading the sermon and providing the YouTube versions of the songs that we sang during worship. Even if you cannot join us, we'd still like to pray for you.
Give us a call or email Pastor Harvey at harvey.hpcc@gmail.com to request prayer.
UPDATE - Please comment down below
and we will respond. Let us know how we can help and if we have blessed you with this on-line worship. Thanks!
Ongoing (as of February 28, 2021)
COVID-19 Protocols in Our Church
Yes! We are still meeting outside.
(4900 North Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 9004 - Just behind the big white house)
Here are some photos of what our outdoor worship area
looks like before the folks show up.
We hope to see YOU in one of these social distanced chairs with us soon!

This weekend we have prepared a worship page for you that includes...
Thursday Night's Bible Study PowerPoint AND the Zoom meeting recording.
The topic was Working While We Wait - Matthew 25:14-30
It was the parable of Talents.
The Children's Sunday School Lesson from Mrs. Denise...
Mrs. Denise prays and sings with the children (online, of course) then tells the story of Jesus
telling people about The Poor Woman's Offering in the Temple.
We have great YouTube versions of Christian Hymns and contemporary songs that we sang today...
Finally, Pastor Harvey took us back to the Gospel of John and we listened to Jesus offering forgiveness at the Temple and His discourse as the "Light of the World".
We hope this continues to bless YOU and draws you closer to God.
Remember, Denise and I are a phone call away if you want to pray together or just chat.
(Also remember that God is NOT far away, He has promised that He would never leave us - can I get an "Amen"!)
And don't forget you can comment below about anything that we can help you with or send us a Facebook message on the Facebook message app.
You can also use the "comments below to start any conversation with us.
Thanks for all of your support!
For Him and His Kingdom,
Pastors Harvey & Denise

A Poor Widow's Offering - Mark 12:41-44
Hey Kiddos -
This week after Mrs. Denise prays and sings with us we learn about how a small offering is a BIG deal to God. Let's listen in as Mrs. Denise tells the story of Jesus watching a poor widow give 2 little coins and what that really meant to God.
I will be glad and rejoice in Your love. - Psalm 31:7

After singing a few songs, then as a congregation we read together aloud the following scripture...
Psalm 119:105-112 (New American Standard Bible)
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106 I have sworn and I will confirm it,
That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
107 I am exceedingly afflicted;
Revive me, Lord, according to Your word.
108 Be pleased to accept the voluntary offerings of my mouth, Lord,
And teach me Your judgments.
109 My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your Law.
110 The wicked have set a trap for me,
Yet I have not wandered from Your precepts.
111 I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, even to the end.
